The Ignition AI Accelerator by Tribe and NVIDIA is designed to identify high-potential, growth-stage tech founders to accelerate their success and growth.

We aim to provide best-in-class deep AI development guidance to facilitate the production of market-ready AI products and services. Through our global corporate and investor network, we enable outstanding startups in our portfolio to establish meaningful partnerships and access global markets.

The Ignition AI Accelerator by Tribe and NVIDIA is supported by Digital Industry Singapore (DISG), and aims to foster a growing and thriving tech ecosystem, pushing the boundaries of what frontier technologies can offer.

Program Overview

Ignition AI Accelerator focuses on accelerating growth and adoption of AI technologies through providing go-to-market strategies and support for technical advancements.

We run quarterly networking sessions with our investment partners and startups, technical workshops and mentor in-office hours, as well as startup roundtable discussions with our corporate partners and high-potential startup founders.

  • Joining The Ignition AI Accelerator offers a unique opportunity to propel your growth-stage AI startup to new heights. Our program is designed to accelerate the development of the next wave of advancement in AI solutions and applications. As a participant, you will gain access to invaluable resources, expert mentorship, and a supportive community dedicated to fostering your startup’s growth and success.

  • The Ignition AI Accelerator launched on May 29, 2024, with application open for registration on a rolling basis. We will work closely with each startup onboarded with us over the course of a year, to accelerate their growth in technical developments, GTM strategies, providing business benets, mentorship and continuous development opportunities.

  • In the first year, our program aims to onboard 15 of the most forward-looking, early-stage AI startups, ensuring personalised attention and tailored support for each participant.

  • To apply for The Ignition AI Accelerator, AI startups must demonstrate clear product vision, and be developing core AI capabilities unique to their target market. Startups must be within ten years of incorporation.

  • We welcome global startups to apply if they are keen on market expansion in Asia. It is optional for startups to fly into Singapore to participate in various in-person activities. But being physically available at key moments could generate more fruitful outcomes.

  • No, we do not provide flights, accommodation or dedicated office space.

  • Yes, we accept non-English speaking startups. However, applications will be in English and some basic understanding of English will be required.

  • Yes, startups who have previously been part of other accelerators/incubators (including NVIDIA Inception program) are welcome to apply.

  • We aim to support the next wave of the most forward looking AI companies. To do this, The Ignition AI Accelerator Program will support participants in a range of ways:

    1. Accelerate AI Go-To-Market

    • Quarterly networking for startups & corporates

    • Corporate introductions to top tier global companies across different industries

    • Global speaking and exposure opportunities

    • Co-Marketing, Social media features

    • Product/Business model mentorship

    2. Advance AI Product Development 

    • Technical workshops

    • Access to NVIDIA’s suite of self paced courses 

    • Technical clinic with technical mentors for tailored coaching and advisory

    • Opportunity for 1:1 in-depth technical development support by NVIDIA AI experts

    3. Provide Access to Capital and Grant Partners

    • Quarterly networking for startups & investors

    • Introductions to top tier tech VCs

    • Business benefits provided by our partners (i.e. fast-track and streamlined process to access grants)

    4. Forge Strategic Partnerships

    • Startup roundtable discussions & networking

    • Business matching to our pool of partners

  • The delivery of the acceleration activities will be multi-modal, capitalising on the best medium for the type of activities yet keeping in mind flexibility in order to cater to oversea startups. There are key moments which the program will encourage participation in person, but can provide avenue or workout alternatives if this is not possible.

  • Yes, we take 2% equity as a program fee.

  • Each startup will retain full ownership of all intellectual property rights that it owns or has created.

  • For The Ignition Accelerator Program, there will be 2 phases to the selection process:

    For Phase 1

    Startups will first need to submit the online application form, thereafter the program panel will do a preliminary screening based on key criteria as listed below:

    Assessment criteria:

    • Maturity: Evaluate the stage of development of the company, including team, product and business model

    • Product readiness: Assess the level of completeness of the product or solution

    • Value validation: Review the Product-market-fit, market potential and market impact on the target market segment

    Due to the high number of startup applications, only shortlisted startups will be informed if they are invited for Phase 2.

    For Phase 2

    High potential startups will be shortlisted for a second round of selection interviews where they will be invited to provide more information on the application and for a further demo call/in-person interview with our program panel

    Assessment criteria:

    • Business analysis: Assess the business model, market positioning, competitive landscape and growth strategy

    • Tech analysis: Evaluate the technical capabilities, robustness and scalability of the product or solution

    Thereafter, final selection of startups for the program will be made subsequently and the startups will be informed.

  • We onboard startups on a rolling basis across the year. The first wave of shortlisted startups will be informed by 31 Oct 2024.
